After my aged heater was red-tagged by Gas Co., the John Stevenson (JS) rep came out and assessed the working condition of the heater. Other than the heater not working, the rep found that the burners were toast, and could release carbon dioxide when heating. At that point, I needed to understand what options were available on a new unit.
A new AC Pro was selected, and installed on 11/21/2024. Prior to that work, JS scheduled a hazmat team to remove asbestos on the furnace outtake tube, and the ducting in the garage.
The installation happened 2 days later, and the two service reps did a great job of working together to complete the installation, and explained the new system to me, the new thermostat, the proper position of vents, and so on.
JS cares about the customer, and followed up to ensure all is working to my satisfaction. As an aside, the unit is so quiet when kicking on, that it no longer wakes us up in the middle of the night. We feel like we are not overheating our house. It's perfect.
